Dog Trainer Opportunities
DOG TRAINER OPPORTUNITIES & DOG TRAINER INTERN OPPORTUNITIES.
Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care is looking for both:
Experienced Dog Trainers with a minimum of 1 year experience as a professional dog trainer who enjoy working with clients and their dogs but do not enjoy running a business or hunting for clients.
OR
Dog Trainer Intern (no experience necessary) dog training experience looking to gain knowledge in the field of dog training as well as partner with us long term.
We provide Private In Home Dog Training lessons and Board & Train Programs for clients needing basic obedience training as well as behavioral issues training.
If you are interested in this opportunity, you should be willing to work with all breeds and issues.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Train dogs & puppies using positive reinforcement and balanced training methods
- Traveling to client’s home or other local environments (up to 50 miles) to conduct trainings
- Keeping detailed training records
- Consulting with potential clients to qualify and understand training needs, create and implement a plan to the satisfaction of the client and dog
- Manage dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments
- Answering any/all dog training questions
- Positively interacting with clients in person, as well as via email/text/phone
- Participate in other projects and events as needed
Qualifications include:
- Must possess an obsessive work ethic.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Self motivated, positive, happy Attitude!
- You are a person of High Integrity.
- The desire to deliver Rockstar Customer Service!
- An attitude of going the extra mile for our clients (get the theme here??)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills (if you don’t like working with and helping people, this is NOT for you!).
- Genuine love of dogs AND people.
- The ability to work with, lift or maneuver dogs of all sizes.
- Able to pass a criminal background/drug screening.
- The ability to work and drive in any weather.
- Own a reliable, insured, working vehicle.
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends. some holidays.
- You own a Smart Phone with Data Plan & Texting capabilities.
Opportunity Types: Part time to start but could become full time for the right person. (INTERNING IS AN UNPAID OPPORTUNITY LEADING TO A PAID OPPORTUNITY).
Education: Minimum; completed High school
