Most Board & Train programs give little follow up care to the owner. It’s all about the time spent with the dog while it’s boarding. While this is great for the dog, what is the owner learning? This philosophy makes it very difficult for the dog and their owners to succeed in the long run.
You see, dog trainers can train dogs. That’s a given. But, in the long run the dog lives with the owner so, the owner needs to learn how to maintain what was taught to the dog in the first place. The owner needs training as much as the dog does! An hour or two at the training facility when they pick up their dog isn’t going to cut it. Not remotely. When the dog goes home, the owners are ill equipped for the flashback that the dog will most assuredly experience.
You see, the dog has a memory of how they behaved at their home and how they behaved with their owners. They remember the bad behaviors they were able to get away with and they push back against their owners and the new rules. Owners without enough training and guidance can feel defeated and overwhelmed and fall back into bad habits with their dogs, thus quickly undoing most if not all the training their dog learned over the last few weeks.

Four Week, Six Week & 8 Week Behavior Modification Programs
We offer Four, Six & Eight Week Board & Train Programs $3800, $5800, $8200 respectively*
FOUR WEEK BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID
This program is designed for balanced dogs in need of off-leash obedience or dogs with mild-moderate behavioral issues such as fear, anxiety, or aggression. Obedience/foundation work, lifestyle training geared toward correcting and preventing behavioral issues such as resource guarding, counter surfing, jumping, reactivity etc. OR young working breed dogs OR intense high energy, determined dogs, mild separation anxiety, vehicle anxiety, training with the remote system on/off leash. Also includes public access training for owners who want to be able to travel with or take their dog to public places.
SIX WEEK BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID
Comprehensive Advanced obedience training on and off leash. Public access training for owners who want to be able to travel with or take their dog to public places. Or head strong, problem dogs or dogs with major behavioral issues including intense fear and anxiety, training with the remote system on/off leash.
EIGHT WEEK BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID
This is the best program for most dogs as it gives the Good Dog team enough time to create strong habits in your pets. It is designed for any dog in need of mild to severe rehabilitation and/or off-leash reliability. Also includes public access training for owners who want to be able to travel with or take their dog to public places. Best program for head strong, problem dogs or dogs with major behavioral issues including intense fear and anxiety, training with the remote system on/off leash.
What is HYBRID?
Our B & T HYBRID is a combination of Board & Train and One on One Private Owner Training.

How are the Hybrid Sessions organized?
In these One-on-one training sessions, you will gain hands-on experience as to how to work your dog each day at home. How to structure your dog’s days going forward. The first 90 days back home is critical to your dog’s success. We will share with you how to replicate the structure that has gotten your dog to a healthy state of mind. So, each program will also include 6 HOURS of One on One training sessions with YOU the owners.
The 6 hours typically works out to be: (1) 2-hour Pre-Go Home session at Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care location and 4 hours of training offsite ( (2) 2-hour sessions) within a 10-mile radius (We are in Lilburn, outside of 10 miles a trip charge will apply). In these sessions, we will transfer all the information, techniques, and strategies to you to ensure continued success. Also included is email and phone support during and after the program is completed.
*Program prices include the remote collar system (ET 300 Mini Educator with standard contact points) which are normally $219.00- $229.00. Most dogs work well on the ET 300 Mini Educator. Occasionally a dog needs the ET 800 Boss system (not included is the additional cost difference to this system which is about $100 if needed).

At Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care our unique approach to dog training is geared more towards addressing the fundamental state of mind of your dog, rather than strictly focusing on creating rehearsed behaviors.
Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care trainers specialize in E-Collar/Remote Collar training, and all dogs that go through our board & train program will be trained with a remote collar system. It allows you to communicate simply and easily with your dog during the training process and beyond.
We specialize in state-of-the-art, low-level, communication-style Remote Collar training. Our Remote Collar program is like nothing you have ever seen and is nothing like the E-Collar training of old. Contemporary Remote Collar Training utilizes the softest, most gentle remote communication, and is one of the most humane and effective approaches to dog training available.
We pride ourselves on boutique-style, specialized, one-on-one attention paid to each individual dog and situation.

- Heel/Walk politely with you (We will eliminate Pulling, Barking, Excitable Behavior)

We can also address behavior issues such as…
- Jumping

Advanced Training such as…
- Leadership skills with your dog so your dog understands proper pack order with humans, eliminating a lot of pushy behaviors your dog may be exhibiting. This is also a game changer for nervous fearful dogs.
- Counter surfing and more
- Public access training
- The Out Command (Move away or drop it and move away)
- Off Leash Training
- Neutrality- which means teaching your dog to be neutral to things in whatever environment they are in. Things like people, dogs, cars, bikes, sights, sounds, wildlife etc. Neutrality means ignoring/not caring that those things exist. When your dog is neutral they are more relaxed, calm and confidently existing in their environment.

You will have homework to do while your dog is here training with us, which will teach you the philosophy behind our training techniques, give you problem solving strategies, teach you the tool breakdown of the equipment (how it works, turning on/off & charging etc), videos of how to do the work, what the commands sound like (so you can practice/role play them), and give you a jump start on what your dog is learning.
Being committed to doing your homework while your dog is away at training will allow us to spend our one on one sessions on transferring the training techniques which will prepare you for success when your dog returns home.
WE REQUIRE EVERY DOG IN OUR BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID PROGRAMS TO HAVE VACCINATION RECORDS. Prior to acceptance into our program you will be required to upload your dog(s) Vaccination History Record(s). Your dog needs to be up-to-date on the following vaccinations: *Rabies *Bordetella *Distemper *Leptospirosis *Fecal Float including test for *Giardia (to test for parasites).
